Philipp Drube doesn’t have a particular, romantic story about his musical upbringing. Because he doesn’t need one. The young artist started as many others in this scene as a mere collector of tracks he liked, later went on to curating them in playlists for the joy of himself and his friends, all of which eventually led to – yeah, surprise! – his first DJ sets. As mentioned, not quite unlike the stories of many others. But unlike quite a few of those others he’s come quite a way since those early days.
Since his first public appearance at a rave in Hamburg a few years ago he’s perfected his handcraft as a DJ, pushed his own stylistic boundaries time and again, and found as well as founded his own platform as his creative outlet. You should know it by the name of Space Trax, the fresh imprint run by him and his musical brother-in-arms, Frank Heise, created solely for the purpose of serving the public with their impeccable, irresistible, Trance-infused visions of electronic music.
With that in one hand, and a hell of a lot of talent in the other, what could possibly go wrong?
