It’s no secret that Georgia and its capital, Tbilisi, have become one of the epicentres of the techno cosmos. Nebbieri feels at home in this melting pot of musical styles and subcultures. As resident of the legendary club Bassiani, she is part of a young, agile generation of DJs who have been shaped by the spirit and sheer endless possibilities of this very city. Nebbieri began her journey through the realms of electronic music at the age of 16. Artists such as Autechre, Point Never and Venetian Snares opened the door to a world of experimental sounds that continue to influence her work today. She early began to experiment with glitch textures and ambient spheres before moving to Germany, where she picked up her first turntables and a passion for vinyl. While gaining more and more experience and expertise over the years, Nebbieri developed her own, unique DJing style. Inspired not only by colleagues, but also her everyday surroundings and nights spent on the dancefloor, her sets are a well-crafted melange of techno, electro and breaks. She skilfully combines timeless old school sounds with current releases, creating an innovative symbiosis of two worlds.
